Emotional Eating and Weight Loss: What Do You Really Need?
You can lose weight just by eating when you are hungry and stopping when the hunger signals go away.
If we all ate ONLY when we were hungry, then no one would have any issue with food and weight.
For most people, it's not that simple.
How often are you letting hunger be the guide to your eating?
And how many of your urges to eat are driven by physiological hunger?
When we reach for food, it often has nothing to do with physiological hunger. Many people have lost the ability to feel their body's hunger signals entirely. What's hunger got to do with it?
Eating when hungry should be the simplest and most natural thing in the world.
But it's not.
Next time you have an urge to eat, ask yourself?
Am I hungry?
If yes, great!
Hunger is good.
If no, what ARE you hungry for?
What do you need?
Do you need energy, a lift, a boost in your day to "get through" what you need to do?
Do you need to calm down?
Most people live with a certain amount of stress and anxiety. It can be easily triggered. Your child acts out in school, and you worry about their future and whether you are a good enough parent.
Or you have to make an important presentation at work and you are scared that you won't perform well.
You feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of items on your to-do list and the anxious reality that you will never catch up. You need to know that you can perform well, even under stressful circumstances.
These are all needs they are just not FOOD needs.
Yes food can give you temporary comfort.
The problem comes when you start to experience the cost of that action. You may feel miserable and beat yourself up. Worst of all, you are caught in the same vicious cycle . . . . repeating the same pattern over and over again.
Whatever you don't want to face will control you.
If you don't like what you are doing, then you need to replace it with a different habit.
So, when you find yourself reaching for food when you aren't hungry, simply ask yourself am I hungry?
If no . . . what do I need?
Are you exhausted, and you need to rest . . . but you THINK you have to keep going? A lot of overeating occurs out of exhaustion ("I'm tired and I just want to eat").
Here's another great question:
What is the kindest thing I can do for myself right now?
Then, go do it.
Eating is far more enjoyable when you ARE hungry.
So challenge yourself to wait for the true hunger and get your other needs met more directly. You'll feel a LOT better about yourself.

Bizarre Diets: The Man Who Eats Cheese All Day
Know anyone with a food phobia? Okay so some people don’t like meat, some are scared of vegetables, but a man who is put off by everything except cheese? Well according to the Hunts Post UK, just a person exists. Food phobia has left a UK man unable to eat anything apart from mild Cheddar cheese ever since he was a toddler.
Dave Nunley, 29, eats about 16st of Cheddar, preferably grated, each year (that’s 375g a day) and has never consumed a hot meal in his life - not even hot cheese. He does occasionally eat a bowl of Ready Brek or a bag of salt and vinegar crisps.
Dave suggests he is in good health: he goes to the gym, he takes vitamins, and the only side effect he claims is tiredness and a lack of Vitamin B. He says that other foods make him sick.
Don’t get any ideas! As yummy as this cheese diet sounds, you would be consuming three times the recommended daily amount of fat, which could lead to various serious medical conditions down the road. Don’t want your child to end up like Dave? Don’t battle with them over food or force-feed, it could turn them off of more than just pea soup.

Effective Business Card Design for Beauty Consultants
A business card serves two main functions. One is to pass on the contact information it contains to the public. Most people who order business cards stop at this function. The inclusion of a name, address, and phone number is usually considering good enough. If a person is attempting to be a bit modern, he includes a web site URL or email address. This information when presented on a simple black and white business card is certainly the least expensive approach to your business card purchase.
Custom business cards take care of the second function much better. That second function is to make contact with the potential customer and to create a favorable first impression. The business card then becomes a very important part of your overall advertising arsenal, and in most cases becomes the true least expensive approach as it brings in customers and pays for itself over time. Professional business cards for lawyers and doctors should maintain a certain dignity as befits the nature of their profession. A Beauty Consultant is not pound by this need to be stuffy in their business card design.
A potential customer would not get a very favorable first impression of a beauty consultant if their business cards were ugly! Beauty is the key word that should guide the search for the most effective design. Even the simplest form of card can be made beautiful with the addition of art work or color. The art work can be direct and to the point or it can be a bit more subtle. The direct approach would feature art that showed actual human forms such as a pretty and carefully made up face. The subtle approach might use something that is associated with beauty such as flowers or jewels.
Color will be one of the most important considerations. Pastel colors or pinks would be the most effective color and should compliment the art work to create an overall theme. The folding card is an excellent choice for the Beauty Consultant as it allows room for eye catching art work on the front, and a more detailed description of the services offered on the inside. Remember that the relaying of contact information is still the first function, and the effect design will integrate this into the overall design. No matter how beautiful and striking the card, it still needs to contain the proper information.
